Radio Canada Jeunesse:  A great website that allows children to watch many children’s French TV shows, and play interactive games.

Iletaitunehistoire.com:  Another great website that allows children to hear stories, songs, poems, and nursery rhymes read aloud to them.

English websites

Greater Victoria Public Library:  A link to their content available online.  Tumblebooks is a recommended site contained where children can hear stories read aloud in French and English.  You need a library card to access the site. (They are free when you visit your local library)

National Geographic Kids:  Do you have a child who is curious about the world?  This website features funny animal videos, space exploration, and places around the world.  Lots to explore!

Early Literacy:  1000 x 5 project:  A child who hears 1000 books by the age of 5 will enjoy more success in learning.  Quadra School receives books from this great organization, as well as inviting parents to donate in our pink bin by the front doors.  Students may then bring home free books.  Make it your goal to read your child 1000 books by age 5!
